Dental Insurance Support at Westpointe Dental

At Westpointe Dental, we believe that understanding your dental benefits should be a straightforward process. Our team is committed to helping patients navigate insurance claims with clarity, making it easier for you to focus on your oral health rather than the paperwork.

We offer direct insurance billing to many major insurance providers and are happy to assist with claim submissions and general insurance questions whenever possible.

Convenient Direct Billing

To help simplify your dental visits, Westpointe Dental offers direct billing to many major insurance providers. In most cases, we can submit claims electronically on your behalf, reducing the amount you may need to pay at the time of treatment.

To help ensure your claim is processed correctly, we recommend bringing your most up-to-date insurance information to each appointment and notifying us of any changes to your coverage.

Assignment of Benefits

Depending on your insurance plan, you may be eligible for assignment of benefits. When available, your insurance provider can send the covered portion of your claim directly to Westpointe Dental, leaving you responsible only for any remaining balance not covered by your plan.

If your policy does not permit direct payment to the clinic, payment for treatment is required at the time services are provided, and your insurance provider will reimburse you according to your individual benefits.

Understanding Your Dental Benefits

Dental insurance plans can vary significantly between providers and employers. Coverage levels, annual maximums, deductibles, and treatment limitations are determined by your specific policy.

While our team is happy to assist with claim submissions and provide general information, we encourage patients to familiarize themselves with their coverage details or contact their insurance provider directly with benefit-specific questions.

Your plan may include:

  • Annual maximums
  • Coverage percentages
  • Deductibles
  • Frequency limitations
  • Treatment exclusions or waiting periods

For larger or more complex treatment plans, we may recommend submitting a predetermination (pre-authorization) to your insurance company before treatment begins. This allows your provider to review the proposed treatment and outline what portion may be covered, helping you better understand any anticipated out-of-pocket expenses.

Alberta Dental Fee Guide and CDCP

Westpointe Dental follows the Alberta Dental Fee Guide and proudly accepts the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).

If you have questions about your coverage or would like help understanding your benefits, our team is happy to provide general guidance and help you understand what to expect before treatment begins.
